Land, Sea & Cityscapes

Real or fantasy portraits, land, sea and cityscapes are laminated on a plastic sheet with colourfast tissue papers creating multi coloured transparencies. Opaque construction papers torn into shapes complete the work. When dry, a clear coat of acrylic medium is applied. Peel off the plastic and VOILA! Your finished art is ready to be hung or framed. Students design and construct whimsical 3D whirligigs from wire and sculpted paper forms while exploring structure and mechanisms. With pencils, markers, a dab of colour or two we will explore the high roads and byways of those imaginary places and transform our drawings into a marvelous 3D paper world of dreams and adventure.
